The Dryden Ice Dogs tasted victory on home ice for the first time since December 17th, with a dramatic 3-2 overtime win over the Fort Frances Junior Sabres Wednesday night.
The Ice Dogs erased a 2-0 deficit with 4-minutes remaining in the game, scoring 2-goals in 27-seconds to tie.
Kevin Tomalty finished it in extra time with a pretty tick-tack-toe goal and he says the victory is huge.
Tomalty says they want to prove that they can beat anyone on home ice.
Jon Mitchell set up Tomalty and says they never gave up.
Kevin Burton and Tanner Harms also found the back of the net.
Dryden outshot the Sabres 37-24, with Sonny Albert picking up the win.
In other SIJHL play, the Thunder Bay Bearcats clipped the Fort William North Stars 3-2.
