A major deal in the telecommunications world today.
Bell has announced it will be buying out the remaining shares in Bell Aliant in a deal worth almost $4-billion.
Bell is already the majority shareholder in Bell Aliant and says it will be purchasing shares for $31.
The deal has regional impacts as Bell Aliant bought out the Kenora Municipal Telephone System six years ago and now operates in the area as Northern Tel.
