A tough Friday night for the Dryden GM Ice Dogs and English River Miners.
Dryden GM wasted a perfect opportunity to move into a second place tie with an 8-4 loss in Minnesota.
Derek McPhail scored twice and Troy Williams and Blake Berg added singles.
The Iron Rangers scored four times in the final period and outshot Dryden GM 43-33.
The Miners also fell hard dropping a 8-3 decision to Fort Frances.
Richard Dartnall netted a couple of goals, while Landon Matechuk also found the back of the net
The Lakers outshot English River 55-33.
With the win Fort Frances clinches first in the SIJHL standings.
