Thunder Bay-Atikokan MPP Bill Mauro is dismissing NDP’s leader Andrea Horwath’s proposal to cut hydro rates by 30 per cent as hollow.
Mauro says much of the NDP’s proposals rely on a vague and yet to be determined expert panel and pie in the sky negotiations with the federal government.
The NDP say they’ll remove the HST off hydro bills and eliminate time-of-using billing.
Mauro says the most expensive idea – buying back more than $4-billion in shares of Hydro One – will not take one cent off electricity bills.
