The Fort Frances Lakers scored twice in the final period, including a shorthanded marker to skate away with a 3-2 victory over Dryden GM Wednesday night.
The Ice Dogs entered the final frame with a chance to control the Best-of-7 series with goals from Derek McMphail and Dylan Cusmano.
However, the Lakers showed why their number one with goals from Nolan Ross and Bryson Jasper about 1:30 apart.
Fort Frances outshot Dryden GM 32-24, with Tate Sproxton making some brilliant saves to keep the Ice Dogs in it.
The series is now tied at 2, with Game 5 Friday night at 7:30 in Fort Frances.
Game 6 is Saturday in Dryden.
