Biomass Plant Supply Underway in Atikokan

Ontario Power Generation is moving quickly on the next phase of conversion of its coal-fired generating plant in Atikokan.
Spokesperson Ted Gruetzner says they’ve put out a call to potential suppliers.
Gruetzner says they hope to finalize a preferred supplier by the end of the year. He expects a lot of interest.
The call for proposals will close in mid-May with a final decision expected later this year.
