The Provincial Government has made it easier for parents of babies to complete
the paperwork that goes along with welcoming newborns into the world.
Kirian Ganley is a spokesperson with the Ministry of Government and Consumer
Services and says parents can go online for a one stop shop “newborn registration
service.”

The online form is a joint project between Service Ontario and Service Canada.
Prior to the initiative parents needed to register their child, and apply seperately
for a birth certificate, and Social Insurance Number.
