Timmins James Bay MPP Gilles Bisson is calling for public disclosure on the MNR’s toxic herbicide spraying program.
Bisson believes that if it happened in the Northeast, there’s a good chance it was sprayed in the Northwest as well.
The NDP member says he remembers seeing the spraying as a child.
Bisson wants to know where the spraying occurred and who was working for the MNR at the time.
Bisson says Northern Ontario has high cancer rates and wonders if the spraying might have contributed to that.
