Black Bear Destroyed

A nuisance black bear was destroyed in Dryden over the long weekend.
Dryden Police say a black bear wandered into the Pronger Park area on Sunday.
The bear weighed about 100 kilograms and was the first to be destroyed in the city this year.
Police say although they have had a few bear calls lately, it is nothing out of the ordinary for this time of year.
Officers say there could be problems in the area until the berries ripen.
