Black Bears Could Be a Problem

Nuisance black bears are making their presence known in Northwestern
Ontario, and it’s just the beginning.
It’s expected people will encounter the bears more over the next few
months as their natural food sources disappear.
A Thunder Bay family got a shock when a large black bear tried to
enter their cottage through a screened window before it was killed.
The Northwestern Ontario Sportmen’s Alliance has renewed a call for a
return of the spring bear hunt to instil some sense of fear into the
animals.
