A boat explosion last week on Lake of the Woods was caused by a propane gas leak.
Two investigators from the Ontario Fire Marshall’s office wrapped up their investigation of the blast over the weekend.
Chief of Kenora’s Fire and Emergency Services Department, Warren Brinkman says a propane supply line had ruptured in three places and had been leaking gas.
The propane had collected in the hull of the houseboat and was finally ignited by a pilot light in a propane refridgerator on board.
The blast sank the houseboat and sent a 21 year old woman to hospital.
