One person had to be taken to hospital following an explosion which destroyed a houseboat on Lake of the Woods.
The blast took place Monday night just after 7:30 on the harborfront docks in Kenora.
Kenora’s Fire and Emergency Services chief Warren Brinkman says while there was no fire associated with the explosion but there was a wide debris field.
There was just one person on board the boat at the time and she was taken to Lake of the Woods District Hospital with unspecified injuries.
The Kenora Police will continue their investigation of the blast this morning.
