A 27 year old Newfoundland resident has been charged with careless operation of a vessel, following a boating accident on Lake of the Woods.
The O.P.P. say two large boats collided Sunday morning near Sioux Narrows, sending six people to Lake of the Woods District Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say a 21 foot Lund with a 250 horsepower motor ran into a 21 foot Princecraft with a 200 horsepower motor, which was heading the other direction.
There were five people on one of the boats, and three people on the other.
Both boats sustained extensive damage.
