Bob Nault On Board With New Trade Deal

Kenora MP Bob Nault is supporting the new free trade agreement (USMCA) with the United States and Mexico.

Nault says it’s a complex, intricate deal, but says Canada has walked away with an agreement that protects our businesses, workers and their families.

He notes the preliminary and modernized three-country trade deal is worth $1.2-trillion in annual trade.

Nault believes it will lead to more jobs and tariff-free access to the largest market in the world.

He adds the agreement will provide more certainty and stability for Canadian businesses.

However, he stresses Canada must continue to diversify their trade with other countries and maintain discussions on the unfair aluminum and steel tariffs imposed by the United States with the goal of seeing them get lifted.
