Kenora M.P. Bob Nault says he’s looking forward to taking a bigger leadership role in Parl-Americas.
Parl-Americas is a group of parliamentarians from across North America, South America and Central America that meet regularly to talk about issues of mutual concern.
Nault says while the situation in the United States is always a concern, it doesn’t dominate their agenda.
He says there’s always a discussion in passing on individual relationships with the U.S.
However, Nault says it’s his job to concentrate on things that they can be partners in and foster new relationships.
Nault says members of Parl-Americas see Canada as taking a key leadership role on things like Climate Change, governance and business relationships.
Nault made the comments with an exclusive interview with CKDR News.
