Boil Water Advisory

Problems at the water treatment plant has prompted the Northwestern Health Unit to issue a boil water advisory for Atikokan.
Officials say all drinking water should be boiled at least 1 minute before consumption.
The Atikokan treatment plant has been experiencing operational difficulties and the safety of the water cannot be guaranteed.
The boil water order will remain in effect until further notice.
