A boil water advisory is in effect for the Red Lake area.
Lynne Botterill with the Municipality of Red Lake says all water from taps should be boiled for at least one minute.
She says the safety of drinking water cannot be guaranteed, due to hydro problems and a loss of water pressure.
Botterill adds the municipality will be handing out notices to all homes affected, which include those in Mckenzie Island, Cochenour, and Balmertown.
