UPDATED: Boil water advisory still in place

The city of Dryden says it could be another day or two before a boil water advisory is lifted.

It was issued last Thursday evening after an electrical failure.

Residents are asked to bring water to a rolling boil before use in drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, and preparing or washing food.

Water filtration devices do not make the water safe to drink.

If you are unable to boil water, bottled water should be used in its place.

Officials with the Keewatin Patricia District School Board had all of its schools open in Dryden.

Drinking fountains have been bagged off and water from an alternate source was bring brought in.
