The picket line battle between Unifor and Thunder Bay’s Bombardier Plant could be settled today.
The company was going to apply for a court order which would prevent striking workers from preventing access by non-striking employees into the plant.
However company spokesperson Stephanie Ash says that officials from both sides have drawn up a proposed protocol on the issue which Bombardier has accepted.
All that is required now is acceptance by the union’s bargaining team, which could come as soon as this morning.
The strike is into it’s fifth day with no immediate end in site.
