Boundary Changes on the Horizon in Northwestern On

This will likely come as a surprise to many in the Northwest as the electoral boundaries are scheduled to undergo a major change!
A Federal Commission has removed the entire District of Rainy River and has included it with Thunder Bay.
The proposed change for Provincial and Federal Elections now has 2 separate Districts, Kenora and Thunder Bay-Rainy River.
The report was tabled in the House of Commons on March 26th.
MP’s have 30 day’s to object to the change.
Kenora-Rainy River MP Bob Nault has issued a press release saying he is shocked with the decision and urges local residents who have concerns to contact his office.
Elections Canada has not commented on the change.
