The Regional economy has taken another hit.
Bowater has announced the permanent closure of the ‘A’ Kraft Mill in
Thunder Bay.
Company Spokesperson Don Campbell says they regret the move but note
the restructuring was needed because of high energy and fibre costs.

Bowater posted a loss of over $120-million U.S. in 2005.
The high Canadian dollar also factored into the closure.
