Box of White Wine Causes a Stir in Ignace

A scare in Ignace last Friday morning.
OPP were called to the LCBO on Highway 17 after the outlet reported a suspicious package.
Inside a box of Beachhouse South African white wine, one of the bottles had a black wire coming out of the cap leading to a plastic device with touch pad buttons.
An investigation revealed the device was a temperature data tracker that had been put in some global shipments as an experiment to record temperatures.
The LCBO was not aware of the winery experiment.
