The Federal Minister Responsible for human resources
development and literacy says more money is needed to keep
remote first nation residents employed in area communities.
Claudette Bradshaw met with aboriginal, business, and
literacy group leaders ysterday in Kenora, and says one
thing is apparent.

Bradshaw says she will be speaking with cabinet when she
returns, to ask for mroe funding for temporary housing and
literacy programs.
She adds it’s terrible that the 26 literacy groups in teh
region only have a budget of less than a million dollars.
