Fort Frances Lakers defenceman Brandon Zajicek has been named SIJHL Player of the Week.
In two games last week, the 20-year-old of Albertville, Minnesota, dished out five assists and turned in a solid defensive performance helping the Lakers pick up a pair of key wins.
Zajicek is currently riding a seven-game point streak and shares the team lead in offensive production for defenceman with a dozen points.
He is tied for fifth in the league.
Dryden GM Ice Dogs goalie Patrick Zubick and Terix Fischer-Nobes of the English River Miners also received consideration.
