Breaking News!!!…Summer Was Wet and Cold

It was a wet summer across the District, especially in Red Lake and Sioux Lookout.
Rainfall levels in Red Lake were 266-millimetres above normal, while Sioux Lookout was 137-above average.
Atikokan, Dryden, Ignace and Ear Falls all experienced near normal precipitation from April to August.
Temperatures were below normal across the board from April to August.
(Ear Falls 2.7-degrees below normal, Dryden 1.8, Red Lake 1.8, Sioux Lookout 1.5, Atikokan 1.0)
CKDR Meteorologist Bill Laidlaw points out that the temperatures we are experiencing now are 7-degrees above normal levels.
