The English River Bridge on Highway 105 has been named after Ear Falls OPP officer Calvin Fulford.
Fulford lost his life on Christmas Day 1958, after responding to a shooting.
The gunman, who had shot and killed 4-people, shot and killed Constable Fulford when he arrived on scene.
OPP Commissioner Chris Lewis was on hand for the ceremony this morning (Friday) and says its a fitting tribute.
Fulford was only able to serve the Province as a Police officer for 45-months, but was known for his cheery and friendly attitude.
Constable Fulford married his High School sweetheart and was a father of 3.
