The death toll from Tuesday’s terror attacks in Brussels has risen to 31.
The early morning rush hour attacks also injured more than 130 people in the Brussels Airport and metro system.
Foreign Affairs minister Stephan Dion says there does not appear to be any Canadian casualties.
Dion says Canada strongly condemns the attacks and stands in solidarity with Belgium in this crisis.
Meantime, Canada says it’s offering what-ever assistance it can provide to help find those behind today’s bomb blasts. Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale says their goal is to find those responsible.
Goodale says CSIS and the RCMP are fully engaged in this matter and the have liaison officers on the ground in Brussels.
Kenora MP Bob Nault has tweeted “Thoughts and prayers are with the victims of attacks in #Brussels. Canada stands united with our allies against terrorism”.
ISIS has now claimed responsibility.
