Bryce Young Leads Miners Past Ice Dogs

The Dryden GM Ice Dogs came close to snapping a four game losing skid but Bryce Young had something to say about that.

Young provided all of the scoring in regulation and scored the shootout winner to lead the Red Lake Miners to a 4-3 win Tuesday night in Cochenour.

Jacob Siebenga and Cameron Coutre gave Dryden GM a third period lead before Young tied things.

Eric Stout also scored for the Ice Dogs.

Red Lake outshot Dryden GM 43-34.

Young now leads the SIJHL in points with 36.

With the single point the Ice Dogs are now five points back of fourth place Thief River Falls.

The Norskies slammed Minnesota 7-2.

Red Lake and Dryden GM faceoff once again Wednesday night at the Memorial Arena at 7:30.

Fans are encouraged to wear purple in support of Violence Against Women Awareness inititiaves.
