Premier Doug Ford is expected to reveal his buck-a-beer scheme Tuesday morning.
It was a promise made during the provincial election.
Education Minister Lisa Thompson posted on-line that the price drop would come by Labour Day, but it would up to each brewery to decide if they want to participate.
Thompson added that the new price would apply to beer with less than 5.6% alcohol content.
