Budget Showdown Playing Out At Queen’s Park

It could be a tense couple of day’s at Queen’s Park.
The Provincial budget is up for a final vote on Wednesday.
Kenora-Rainy River MPP Sarah Campbell isn’t willing to predict what will happen, but feels the McGuinty Government is going to
have to make some compromises if it wants the bill to pass.
Campbell is defending some of the amendments the NDP have made to the budget at the committee level, noting it’s the right thing to do.
Meantime, NDP leader Andrea Horwath says she won’t cave in to Premier Dalton McGuinty’s demand that the party not make any more major changes to the budget at committee today.
McGuinty warned he would call a snap election rather than see more schedules eliminated from the budget, but Horwath says
that’s what the N-D-P will attempt to do today.
