The heavy snow in most of the region has resulted in some bus cancellations.
Buses won’t be running in Dryden, Vermilion Bay, Red Lake, Ear Falls, Kenora and Sioux Narrows.
Schools in the effected communities will still be open.
However, the cancellations will result in the likely postponement of Girls Hockey, Boys Basketball and Girls Volleyball in Dryden between the Eagles and Beaver Brae Broncos.
Despite the good dump of snow, there are no road closures to report.
Most highways and local roads across the region are snow covered.
My Lift bus service in Dryden is also not running today.
Meantime, the Westy-Jet Paper Airplane Challenge Fundraiser planned for today at New Prospect School in Dryden has been postponed.
The event will now be held on Thursday, December 8th at 12:40.
