Business as Usual at Confederation College

Confederation College is open for business across Northwestern Ontario despite a strike by support staff.
Most programming will run as scheduled when classes resume on Tuesday and staff are in place across the District to assist students.
However, continuing education has been delayed a week and the College may be forced to delay its aviation program.
Vice-President Judi Maundrell doesn’t expect major problems when students report for class or obtain financial aid.
Maundrell says students may experience some very minor delays.
OPSEU Spokesperson Elaine Kerr says the union wants job security and notes they’re receiving great support from the community.
230-employees in Northwestern Ontario are impacted.
Both sides have expressed a willingness to return to the bargaining table.
