The forest fire season has come to an end in Ontario and there was plenty of activity in the Red Lake area.
Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry Information Officer Chris Marchand says a number of blazes were allowed to burn in Woodland Caribou Provincial Park.
Marchand says when fires aren’t threatening people or property, they can play a major regenerative role in cleaning up storm and insect damage areas.
He says the park saw over 40-fires burning over 51,000 hectares of land.
