Busy Time For Canada Post

Expect delays if you are using Canada Post services as they continue to deal with “Christmas-level” volumes of parcels.

Officials say more people are shopping at home because of COVID-19 and that has resulted in a back-log.

Last Monday more than 1.8 million parcels were delivered across the country.

In a statement Canada Post stated “We are working hard to respond in a responsible manner, putting the safety of our people, and the communities we serve, first.”

Parcels being delivered during the pandemic are being done by what is called a “knock, drop and go” approach, to minimize contact between its delivery employees and clients.

Customers can continue to track their parcels online through http://www.canadapost.ca or the Canada Post app.
