Busy Weekend For Dryden And Oxdrift Firefighters

Dryden crews responded to the Arena Friday evening, and learned that a fire alarm had been pulled by mistake.
There were a number of incidents on Sunday, involving a semi-transport that rolled into the ditch near Meadows Road.
Both people in the truck were treated at the scene, and Provincial Police are investigating.
That same afternoon, firefighters responded to a malfunctioning alarm at a church on Van Horne.
Later that evening, Oxdrift firefighters responded to a house fire on McGogy Road, north of Dryden.
Dryden firefighters were also called in to help.
Flames were spreading up the walls and ceiling, and the blaze was put out within 2-hours.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
