Calendar Girls Donate ‘Setee’ To DRHC

The girls that keep on giving.
Theatre Seventeen’s Calendar Girls presented a sofa to the Dryden Regional Health Centre’s Oncology Unit today.
Director Judith Hamilton says in the play the group of women wanted to raise money to buy a new ‘setee’ to donate to their local Oncology Unit.
Hamilton says the Calendar Girls thought it would be nice to emulate the women in the play and donate a sofa to DRHC’s Oncology Unit.
She adds that the Oncology Unit did not have a sofa for patients to sit on.
In June, Theatre Seventeen donated $20,000 to the DRHC’s Oncology Unit from the sales of the calendar.
