The Canadian Red Cross is looking for volunteers to help with the evacuations in northern Saskatchewan.
Shanna Hansson of the regional Red Cross Branch based in Dryden confirms they have received a call for support.
Hansson says so far no one has come forward to help out.
The postings right now are for two weeks as volunteers are staffing emergency shelters and providing other support for the more than 13,000 being evacuated because of raging forest fires.
Meantime, some 1,000 Canadian Military troops are helping out, with roughly 600-on the front lines of the fires.
It’s being called the worst evacuation in Saskatchewan’s history.
