Its called the “silent killer” and its becoming more of an issue in Ontario.
The Dryden Fire Service is asking homeowners to install a Carbon Monoxide alarm.
Emergency and Education Officer Reagan Breeze says it an inexpensive and easy life saving tool.
Breeze says its more of a problem now because most homes don’t allow air leakage.
Breeze notes firefighters have responded to several cases of high Carbon Monoxide levels within homes but notes people have been alerted by having a working alarm.
Some 850 Ontario residents were diagnosed with carbon monoxide poisoning and hospitalized last year.
