Camp Quality Looking For Local Campers

Camp Quality is spreading the word of their activities across the region with visits in Dryden and Sioux Lookout.

The Thunder Bay-based organization provides a camp experience to kids who are on treatment for cancer, or in remission.

Spokesperson Samantha Stovel says they are trying to get more campers from this area to attend.

Stovel says they provide a safe and enjoyable experience, with medical assistance available 24-hours a day, seven days a week.

Dryden’s Taylor Wiedenhoeft has taken advantage of the program and stresses it is a great experience.

Wiedenhoeft says you can basically do anything you want at the camp, including fishing, tubing, crafts and swimming.

She says all campers are accompanied by a companied who can provide support at any given time.

A Camp Quality Open House is being held at the Sioux Lookout Public Library Thursday from 4:30 until 6:30.
