Randy Smith worked more than his share of overtime on Labour Day.
The Kenora animal control officer had to tranquilize & relocate 8 black bears that had wandered into town looking for something to eat.
As well, the OPP had to put down a Bruin who broke into a home just past City limits.
The Ontario Federation of Anglers & Hunters says most if not all the bear problems in the north can be tracked back to the cancellation of the Spring Bear Hunt by the former Mike Harris Government.
