Canada Day In Dryden

Celebrating Canada’s birthday!

Communities across the region have a full day of activities planned for Wednesday

In Dryden, the day starts at 8:00 with a pancake breakfast at the Legion.

A flag raising and cake cutting ceremony will be held at noon at Cooper Park.

There will be family activities, music, games as well food and craft vendors most of the day at Cooper Park and at the Arena. (11:00-5:00)

The Dryden Kinsmen Dragon Boat Races start at 1:30 with 11 teams in competition and there’s a volleyball tournament at the Riverview Lodge. (10:00-7:00)

It will also be a day full of music on Canada Day.

The Dryden Development Corporation and Carl Bleich are spearheading an afternoon concert series at Cooper Park.

Musicians will entertain the public starting at 1 o’clock with Dan Bartz.

There will be new acts every half hour until Nate Puddicombe closes things at 4:30.

The event is free and you’re encouraged to bring a lawn chair.

Canada Day activities end at dusk with Fireworks at the Government Dock.
