A forest fire which has forced the evacuation of Little Grand Rapids in Manitoba, is also posing problems for the Poplar Hill First Nation in northern Ontario.
Canada Post says it is unable to deliver mail into the community due to smoke from a large forest fire.
The blaze is still located about 70 kilometers west of Poplar Hill, but has grown to about 17 hundred hectares on the Ontario side, but is more than 20 thousand hectares in Manitoba.
Canada Post say it will be holding mail and parcels for Poplar Hill residents in Dryden until they can resume deliveries again.
