Canada Post resumes mail delivery on Deer Lake

After over a month, mail delivery service has resumed on the Deer Lake First Nation.

A red delivery alert was issued on June 3rd, after the community was evacuated due to a wildfire.

The evacuation order has since been lifted and residents are returning home.

In the meantime, Canada Post any incoming mail was held off-site at a secure location.

Earlier this week, mail delivery resumed on the Sandy Lake First Nation, which has also evacuated for almost a month.
