Justin Trudeau says he’s committed to working with the provinces to build a low-carbon economy that protects our environment and creates jobs.
The Prime Minister’s tweet comes on the heels of adopting the Paris agreement on climate change, alongside nearly 200 other nations.
The deal asks the countries to restrict greenhouse gas emissions, limiting temperature rise to two degrees Celsius.
Federal Environment Minister Catherine McKenna calls the pact “ambitious and balanced.”
