Canadians Stay Connected With Postcards From Canada Post

Over 13 million postcards have been mailed out to Canadian residents to help spread love to friends and family during the pandemic.

Canada Post Spokesperson Valerie Chartrand says, ‘Postcards are in really bright colours, red, blue and green. They have a little cute message on it. It can be, I Miss You, Sending smiles, messages like that. You can write a message and the person you are sending it to.”

There are six versions of the postcard, each with its own message.

“You can write a message and mail it out to whoever you want, and postage is paid, ‘it was really to stay connected during these difficult times. ”

This is the first time Canada Post has done something like this, “In the last year, we weren’t able to see our loved ones, family and friends as much because of the restrictions due to COVID-19. This is just a way to stay connected that is more meaningful than test messages and email that we have been sending for a year now.”
