Canadians Still Not Allowed Across U.S. Land Border

The United States is prolonging its border restrictions with Canada for another month.

They were supposed to expire Tuesday, but they have been extended to October 21.

That applies to any non-essential travel for land borders both here and Mexico.

The land border has been closed since March 2020.

Fully vaccinated Americans have been able to enter Canada for non-essential visits since August 9.

The new restrictions don’t impact air travel.
