The Regional Cancer Care Northwest Program says it’s implementing new programs to help improve patient experiences.
Director Joanne Lacourciere says the Province’s annual cancer scorecard gives them poor marks in following up on patient symptoms as well as integrating cancer services.
Lacourciere notes people need to start getting tested on a regular basis.
The report card shows the northwest has higher rates of prostate, colon, lung and breast cancer than the rest of the province.
