Natural Resources Minister Donna Cansfield has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Grassy Narrows First Nation on forest management in their traditional land use area.
Cansfield was in Grassy yesterday for the signing ceremony along with the Frank Iacobucci, who did an extensive consultation with the community.
Cansfield says the memorandum is based largely on the recommendations of Iacobucci.

Cansfield has committed her ministry to complete a traditional use study in the Grassy area, do an environmental inventory and identify economic opportunities in the area.
