$21-million worth of capital work is contained in the 2010 City of Dryden budget.
The approved list includes a new pumper truck for the Dryden Fire Service as well as a new prisoner van and cruiser for the Police Service.
There are also 8-additions to the City vehicle and equipment fleet worth $235,000.
Other capital work includes the detailed design of the Arena renovations, completion of the lighting of the Ball Diamonds and Solar panel upgrades at the Pool.
The design of a new Sewage Treatment Plant will continue and construction will commence on the Centennial Business Park and Norwill Subdivision.
As one Dryden Councilor put it, the Capital budget only scratches the surface of what’s needed.
