The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board says it’s up to date on all infrastructure projects at area schools.
Spokesperson Steve Parker says construction of the Sioux North High School is on schedule.
The school is scheduled to open in time for the 2018 school year.
Parker says renovations at area schools to accommodate new child care spaces have also taken place.
He adds the board has been able to conduct significant roofing upgrades at three schools in the Kenora area.
One of the highlights for the KPDSB is improvements to the Red Lake High School parking lot.
Parker says the project has seen some positive results.
Parker says they wanted to establish a space for ATV’s and snowmachines.
He notes a gravel parking lot has been set-up for kids to utilize the space for their off-road vehicles.
